Universal Top Jaws make automation easier, faster, and more cost-effective by eliminating the need to cut part-specific soft jaws for most rectangular-shaped parts. Universal Top Jaws support two different exchangeable workholding accessories: VersaBites and VersaRails.

VersBites are made from hardened steel and provide a low gripping profile with a high level of gripping force on the part to be machined by biting into the raw material; perfect for first operations.

VersaRails are made from aluminum and provide a flat surface to clamp a part without marring the part’s surface; perfect for second operations. VersaRails can also be machined to support irregular part shapes.

Universal Top Jaws can be quickly adjusted and support part material from 0.25” wide up to 6.75” wide. Universal Top Jaws, VersaBites, and VersaRails are sold separately. Universal Top Jaws require MultiGrip Base Jaws.
